  44.  The Intelligent Updater installation disks or CD contains several
  45.  executable files. The filenames change from week to week. They show
  46.  the year (yyyy) the month (mm) and day (dd) that the definitions
  47.  were released.  They also show the version number (vvv) which represents
  48.  multiple builds

  322.  2. Unzip this file to a temporary location on the PC.
  323.  3. From the temporary location on the PC, use FTP to connect to the
  324.     AS400 server.  Log in as QSECOFR, or a user that has *ALLOBJ
  325.     authority.
  326.  4. Change to Binary transfer mode.
  327.  5. Put the files into the Incoming directory:
  328.      /SYMANTEC/VIRUSDEFS/INCOMING
  329.  6. From the AS/400 console issue the command:
  330.      CHGOWN OBJ('/SYMANTEC/VIRUSDEFS/INCOMING/*') NEWOWN(QNOTES)
  331.     to change the owner of all the files to QNOTES.
  332.  7. Norton AntiVirus will automatically begin using the new definitions
  333.     within 10 minutes.

  337. XIV. Norton AntiVirus 2.5 for Lotus Notes for AS/400 (iSeries)

  340.  1. Download the file is400.zip to a PC that is able to connect to
  341.     the AS400 server.

  343.  3. From the temporary location on the PC, use FTP to connect to the
  344.     AS400 server.  Log in as QSECOFR, or a user that has *ALLOBJ
  345.     authority.

  357.  1. Download the file s390.zip to a PC that is able to connect to the
  358.     OS/390 server.
  359.  2. Unzip this file to a temporary location on the PC.
  360.  3. From the temporary location on the PC, use FTP to connect to the
  361.     OS/390 server.  Log in as your domino server user.
  362.  4. Change to Binary transfer mode.
  363.  5. Put the files into the Incoming directory:
  364.     (Your Install Location)/Symantec/virusdefs/incoming
  365.  6. Norton AntiVirus will automatically begin using the new definitions
  366.     within 10 minutes.

  370. XVI. Installing Virus Definition Files Manually
  371. =====================================================================
  372.  
  373.  If you do not want Intelligent Updater to install the new virus
  374.  definitions for you automatically, you can use the /DUMP command to
  375.  extract the virus definition files, then copy the appropriate files
  376.  to the virus definitions folder.
  377.  
  378.  Installing Virus Definition Files Manually
  379.  --------------------------------------------------------------------
  380.  1. Copy the Intelligent Updater program (yyyymmdd-vvv-I32.EXE or
  381.     yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE) to an empty, temporary folder.
  382.  2. Launch the Intelligent Updater program using the /DUMP command.
  383.     For the yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE file, use the /EXTRACT command.
  384.     This will extract all the virus definitions to the folder. For
  385.     example, type yyyymmdd-vvv-I32.EXE /DUMP to extract the files. Or
  386.     type yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE /EXTRACT [path] where path represents
  387.     the current directory. The yyyymmdd represents the date of the
  388.     definition set. The vvv represents the version number.  For example,
  389.     the filename could be 20021231-001-I32.EXE for a December 31
  390.     definition set.
  391.  3. Copy the files to the virus definition folder.  Copy the files to
  392.     this location:
  393.     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs\Incoming\
  394.  
  395.     NOTE: Copy the file ZDONE.DAT last. This file signals Norton
  396.     AntiVirus that the definition set has been completely loaded. If
  397.     it is not loaded last, it may cause errors.

  518.  1. The Intelligent Updater files are now signed with a Symantec digital
  519.     signature. As a result of this change we have also made a change to
  520.     the /EXTRACT and /DUMP command line options. To use these option you
  521.     must now include the full path to the location where you wish to
  522.     extract the virus definition files to. For example,
  523.     20050105-001-I32.EXE /EXTRACT C:\TMP
  524.  2. The split disk Intelligent Updater can only be run from the floppy
  525.     drive.
